City council unanimously approved a $50 million infrastructure project that will modernize downtown transportation and utilities.

The city council has given unanimous approval to a $50 million infrastructure initiative aimed at modernizing downtown over the next three years. The plan features the addition of new bike lanes, upgrades to public transit stops, and improvements to water and sewer systems. According to Mayor Johnson, the project will generate more than 200 construction jobs while enhancing the quality of life for residents. Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2024.
