This cookie is most often called"Chocolate chip cookies"or in EnglishChocolate Chip Cookies— that's how it's known worldwide. In Russian, you can simply saychocolate chip cookies.
Here is a classic recipe:
🍪 Ingredients (for 20–24 cookies):
Butter - 120 g (soft, room temperature)
Sugar - 100 g
Brown sugar - 100 g (gives a caramel flavor, can be replaced with white sugar)
Egg - 1 pc.
Vanilla extract - 1 tsp.
Flour - 200 g
Baking powder - 1 tsp.
Salt - a pinch
Chocolate (dark or milk) - 150 g (chop into pieces with a knife or use ready-made drops)
🔪 Preparation:
In a bowl, beat the softened butter with two types of sugar until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla, beat again.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Combine the dry ingredients with the oil mixture.
Stir in the chocolate pieces. The dough should be thick.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spoon the dough, leaving space (the cookies will spread).
Bake at 180°C for about 10-12 minutes. The edges should be golden brown, and the center should remain soft.
Cool on a wire rack - the cookies will become firmer as they cool.
📌 Tips:
If you like soft cookies, don't overbake them.
For a crispier texture, leave for another 2-3 minutes.
You can add nuts (walnuts, pecans) or replace part of the flour with oatmeal.
